Facts versus knowing

Start Reading

Have you ever thought about what you know to be true? Not lies and facts. But a deeper truth – a knowing?

Love for example – is this a fact? Or a deep knowing?

The existence of something more beyond our day to day existence, struggle and joys? For many this is a question of fact. For others there’s a deep connection with a higher truth of a universal oneness that offers a bigger context for what we experience here on earth.

There are many existential questions which might open a doorway to a deeper sense of understanding about this thing we call Life.

But so what? Why does connecting with a deeper knowing matter? Going beyond concrete facts and opening to a broader canvas of possibilities can create a context for meaning making which expands us, matures us, opens us to a wisdom that nourishes and supports us and which we can share with others.

In a world going through the scale of change and turmoil that we are witnessing and living right now, we may be searching for a life raft of control and certainties that we can cling onto. What if that life raft isn’t about control and certainty but about opening to a deeper meaning and a higher purpose for Life.

What if it’s about being in the vast ocean, with no shoreline in sight and yet knowing that ‘principles’ such as love and the greater good and interconnectedness of all life will lift us to a better outcome.
