I’m lucky to have had two careers (so far). The first – 20 years in global transport as a senior executive/Director with British Airways and GNER.

Now, I run azzur, a leadership and organisational change consultancy where consciousness and spiritual philosophy is our touchstone. Consciousness in business has been my vocation since the mid 90s. I collaborated on delivering the International Conference for Organisational Spirituality, co-founded the Foundation for Workplace Spirituality, led an international group dedicated to supporting greater consciousness in business and am currently (yes, it’s taking a while) writing a book on Conscious Leadership.

Living the principles in daily life is the key for me and my consciousness journey has crossed many boundaries and traditions including becoming a Reiki Master, exploring shamanic traditions and as a student of creative meditation and esoteric spirituality including the work of Alice Bailey and Lucille Cedarcrans.

From a career starting in journalism, including a stint reporting on business, I spent more than 20 years in PR, 13 of them as a director of a global consultancy advising CEOs and boards on corporate affairs. My insight into the impact of organisations on the world has expanded further during 10 years with azzur focused on helping develop outstanding leaders and transformed organisations.

The conscious awareness I bring to my work in helping leaders and their organisations become a force for good, inside and out, is underpinned by an on-going exploration of spiritual practice which has included Buddhism, shamanism, Reiki training, creative meditation and the esoteric tradition.

I am under no illusion that my consciousness is a thing of fragility requiring constant tending. It is a work in progress.

I started my career in the hospitality industry, firstly in operational management and then crossing over to specialise in Learning and Development becoming Global Head of Management Development for a hotel PLC. In this role, through the late eighties I was involved in a number of organisational culture change initiatives, helping leaders to navigate new environments and ways of working in line with the organisation’s strategy.

I became interested in systems, what influences individual and organisational change and how the wider context impacts the change. As part of my exploration I started my personal development journey, being convinced of the importance of knowing the power that lay within ourselves and our inter-connection with other. Completing my MSc in Change Agent Skills and Strategies in 2006 confirmed my passion for this area of work and it strengthened my resolve to work in the conscious arena of organisational and personal development.
